California community colleges are supported by the Academic Senate’s Curriculum Committee which facilitates the Curriculum Institute and provides guidance and training on curricular matters during the academic year. The committee members, meeting dates and minutes, and other work of the committee is posted online and can be helpful for local curriculum committees. Faculty with experience as the chair or member of a local curriculum committee are encouraged to volunteer to serve on the state Curriculum Committee. The ASCCC Curriculum Committee usually includes at least one faculty member from student services as well as a representative from the California Community Colleges Chief Instructional Officers group and a student appointed by the Student Senate for California Community Colleges.
